«Estrela da Manhã» (Morning Star) Foundation
«Estrela da Manhã» is a Mozambican registered non-profit, non-governmental organisation.
Their first project was iniciated in 2016 in the Muhithu, Tchaiane and Nacuia communities of the Rapale District, Nampula Province. Estrela da Manhã has a similar goal as the MOZMED projects and implements the MOZMED methodology.
The new team is 100% Mozambican and consists of two medical doctors, a dentist, a nurse and a health educator.
The team is active in the mentioned area since March 2020. Their weekly visits are as follows:
- 2 days – clinic visits in Muhithu and Tchaiane by the whole team.
- 1 day – education for health volunteers and community in Nacuia led by the health educator.
